About This Trini

Hi I’m J! That's me over there to your left and above.

I started This Trini Will Travel to share my travel experience with the aim to inspire my fellow Trinbagonian’s and Caribbeaners to travel just as those continue to inspire me.

This Trini is an advocate for local, regional and international travel, in that order, fascinated with planet earth and its complexities.

I am not completely sure when my wanderlust began but subconsciously I'm sure it is linked to the pictures my aunt would show my sister and I of her trips to Egypt and Europe or when my Father took a trip to the desert showing us pictures of sand and construction in UAE that is now the world famous Dubai.

I remember being so amazed by these places I had never even been to. Not to mention the countless documentaries I have watched on the Discovery and Travel Channels. I guess these factors sparked my flame to see and experience new cultures and scenery and my passion to share it all with the world.

Where I've Been

This Trini loves her Caribbean roots and the plan remains to travel and explore the Caribbean. Barbados, St. Lucia, Grenada (kinda) and Antigua are so far off the list.

#EuroTrip This Trini plans to take a trip across Europe exploring the ancient ruins of Greece, visiting the cobbled streets of Rome, seeing the Mona Lisa in the Louvre in France and so much more. Italy - check! London - Check!

Travelling has also amplified for me the importance of appreciating your own, so, in the midst of my travels, this Trini is a local tourist discovering the adventures in my own country, Trinidad and Tobago.

I'm in Miami BISHHH!!! This Trini loves the life of South Beach and is a frequent flyer to Miami but the plan is to hit the West Coast making some stops everywhere in between. Atlanta, New York, New Jersey, Boston - Check! But with this Rona Situ, the US maybe off the radar for a few.

Why This Trini Will Travel?

Initially, I started This Trini Will Travel as a plan to share my amateur photography and document my travels, however I began to realize it’s much more.

When did I realize it was “so much more” you may ask, it was when I realized the year I started the This Trini Will Travel's IG page, which was 2018, I took at least 4 trips for the year… Manifestation Much?!?!!?!

For years, I have served as a useful source to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started sharing my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our world.
